The phone supports RS-MMC type of memory card.

Nokia 7610 has a bluetooth technology. It has a 1 megapixel camera. It can record video. And it can last for three hours of talk or phone call.

Programming Language: Java

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Do you know Java? I am not talking about a place. It's even different from JavaScript. Okay, what I mean is the programming language. First of all, Java is a programming language. It was formerly developed by James Gosling at Sun Microsystems. It first appeared in 1995. Java is said to be an object-oriented language. Object-oriented means that it uses "objects" and their interactions to design applications and computer programs.

Recently the Sun Microsystems released a new version of Java. Which is the Java Standard Edition 6 (1.6.12). Java programming language has been implemented or used vastly in many areas in programming already. Ada 83, C++, Eiffel, Smalltalk, Mesa, Modula-3, and Objective-C are some of the ancestral languages of Java. Java has a cross-platform compatibility.

Before, in making our academic projects, we oftenly used Java as our main programming language. We had already created games using this language. One of the games is inspired by Windows' Minesweeper. The other was like a mystery game. You will have choices to choose from, then those choices will lead you to some consequences.

See, Java is also fun to have. Others say that Java will soon become the leading programming language in the world.

Adobe Fireworks

Thursday, January 8, 2009

Adobe Fireworks, commonly referred as Fw, is a graphics or image editor. It was formerly owned and developed by Macromedia, which was in 2005 acquired by Adobe. Its latest release is the CS4 which is version 10.0, last September 23, 2008. The product was developed using the C++ language.

Currently, I am using Fireworks despite of the fame Adobe Photoshop has gained. Fireworks is as powerful as Photoshop. That is my humble opinion. I find Fireworks to be more user-friendly than Photoshop though the difference is not that big.

The software is not free. Therefore you need to buy its license usage for you to be able to exploit the product to its fullest.

Apache HTTP Server

Thursday, January 1, 2009

Apache HTTP Server, commonly known as Apache, is a web server. Generally, most of the web servers are Linux web servers. It was designed by Robert McCool. Apache Software Foundation is the one currently developing Apache. It was initially released during 1995.

Their latest version release was on the 12th of December 2008, which is the version 2.2.11. Apache is coded using the C language. Apache could also be run as your localhost web server. That feature is a great for web developers and designers.

I have already used Apache as integrated in LAMP and XAMPP. Recently, I have used Apache in XAMPP. Apache is really a great resource to web developers like me. It is also user-friendly. Apache is great!
