Javascript

JavaScript (or JS) is another scripting language in the world of web development and design. It is widely used for client-side web development. It appeared in 1995. Brendan Eich is the one who designed JavaScript. But currently, Netscape Communications Corporation, and Mozilla Foundation are the ones who are now developing it. Its latest release was still in the year 2008, which is the version 1.8.

JS supports all the structured programming syntax in C. For example, the if, while, and switch statements. I could still remember the time I studied JavaScript when I still had to carry a 3-inch thick book. At the time I didn't delve too much in its technicalities like browser support or cross-platform compatibility.

In general, JavaScript is a very good tool in web development if you just know how to use it.
